As a centre for yachting and sport fishing, it is the most southern Caribbean Marina operated by IGY Marinas. With well-maintained docks, it is designed and engineered to serve as a haven, offering as many as 221 slips, 32 mega yacht berths with a maximum length of 200 feet and a 13 feet draft.
As an official port of entry, Rodney Bay Marina is known for its experienced on-site customs agents, high-speed fueling, a 200-berth capacity and an adjacent 4.5-acre boatyard with its ability to maintain vessels of up to 75 tons. It also features bars, shops, a pool, restroom and shower facilities, laundry services, banking services with provisioning and duty-free stores. It is only a short distance to a variety of relaxing restaurants, the newly enhanced Bay Walk and Rodney Bay shopping malls, an 18-hole golf course, the Pigeon Island National Landmark as well as a local heliport approximately 20-minute driving distance away in Castries.
