Bay Gardens Resorts Welcomes Caribbean Premier League Teams to St. Lucia
We’re big cricket fans this side of the globe! Bay Gardens Resorts has long been the home of the West Indies Cricket team. Now, with the increasing popularity of T20 cricket, we’ve become the home of the St. Lucia Zouks too.
With three matches in the latest T20 tournament taking place at the nearby Bousejour Cricket Grounds, we were also very happy to host the other teams (Antigua Hawksbills, Barbados Tridents, Trinidad & Tobago Red Steel) who were vying against each other for T20 glory. The matches took place this past weekend.
We wish you all best of luck in the remainder of the tournament.
A New Addition to Bay Gardens Hotel
The Bay Gardens Hotel is where it all started for Bay Gardens Resorts many years ago. Way before the Bay Gardens Inn and the Bay Gardens Beach Resort, this hotel was welcoming in guests through its doors showing them true St. Lucian hospitality.
The Croton Suites were added to the Bay Gardens Hotel much later. These are well appointed one and two bedroom suites that feature a full kitchen, dining and living area and a separate bedroom. The two bedroom option features a second bedroom with bathroom. These suites are great for families, groups and anyone looking for extra space to stretch out.
What’s really new is the swimming pool we’ve added to the front of the Croton Suites. It features a calming rock waterfall feature and lounging deck for relaxation. Rich wood and rock accents surround the waterfall and shower end of the pool giving it a natural feel. We’ve now got a total of three swimming pools for our guests to enjoy at the Bay Gardens Hotel. Our new TLC Program is all about keeping our guests happy!
The Bay Gardens Beach Resort recently rolled out its TLC program, which is aimed at ensuring that every guest receives the personal attention of the management team. Under the program, each of the resorts’ managers has been assigned a number of rooms. Each manager is responsible for ensuring that every guest who checks into their assigned rooms has a great stay. They make themselves available to welcome the guests on arrival, or meet them at least once during their stay to catch up and listen to any feedback their guests might have. It’s also a great way to keep on top of any issues that arise and ensure that they are quickly resolved.
When you check in, you’ll find a tent card in your room with a picture of your ‘Resort Manager’ making that person easily identifiable (in case they missed you on arrival). It also includes their contact details in the event you need to reach them.

Team Member profile: Theresa Eugene
Hers is one of the first smiling faces that will welcome you when you arrive at either The Bay Gardens Hotel or Bay Gardens Inn. Theresa Eugene is one of the members of our security team, stationed at the entry/lobby area for those two properties.
It’s very important to us that our guests can enjoy their vacation in a safe and comfortable environment and Theresa and the rest of her team members help us ensure that this is always the case. She’s been employed with us for over two years now and truly enjoys meeting people. She’s always eager to help and greet guests coming in for the first time, or to strike up a conversation with guests who walk through her area on a daily basis. When she’s not working, Theresa enjoys bonding with her family, spending time at church and socializing with friends.
So, the next time you’re checking in, be sure to look out for that warm welcoming smile and feel comfortable that you’re in very good hands.
Community Corner: Laborie Girls Primary School & Monchy Primary School
This month we were very happy to welcome the bright young students from the Laborie Girls Primary School and Monchy Primary School. The students dropped by for an educational tour the Bay Gardens Beach Resort & Spa. Their teachers wanted their young, impressionable minds to see first hand the inner workings of a hotel. This is very important, as the hospitality industry is St. Lucia’s leading source of employment.
We gave them the grand tour of all of our key guest areas and even rooms as well. After, they were treated to refreshments at the Hi Tide and Trios Restaurant. Our Human Resource Manager, Joseph DuBois, along with our General Manager, Mrs. Berthia Parle, then took some time out to give motivational talks to the students who were eager to soak in as much as they could.
Take a look at some of the highlights from the tour on our Facebook page.
Recipe of the Month - Lucian Tomato Herb Salsa
Chef Pat, from the Bay Gardens Hotel has let another secret recipe out of her kitchen for you to enjoy. These are the sort of items we love on our Farm to Table menus, as all of the ingredients are fresh and locally sourced.
This time around, it’s a delicious and versatile salsa/relish which can be used as a sauce with fish or can be mixed with Guacamole for dips. Click here for the recipe.
